About St Paul's
Founded in 1872, St Paul's today is an active and welcoming Anglican church in Beckenham, South London.
In our web pages you will find lots more information on what we do, who we are and how you will be made welcome within in our church family, but in brief......
Since the outbreak of Coronavirus our three varied services on Sunday have been suspended. They have been replaced by two online services using our Church YouTube channel. We now have a 'Service of the Word' aimed at adults and an interactive 'Family Service' maintaining our strong commitment to children and young people as part of our church life.
We have a Zoom 'after service coffee chat' every Sunday at 11.30 am.
Our popular Babies and Toddlers’ group is currently suspended but our monthly after school ‘Families Together’ event with crafts, activities, games, story-telling has been taken online.
Home Groups have also been suspended during the week but still provide strong personal support to each other during the lockdown.
We are committed to serving our Parish community with 'Connect' our Coronavirus Buddy programme seeking to tackle loneliness and isolation. We look forward to re-establishing our links with the St Paul’s Beckenham Pre School and Worsley Bridge School once restrictions are relaxed and they reopen.
All sorts of church and community activities held in the halls are currently suspended, but will resume at some stage.
St Paul's is a welcoming and caring church not just for its members but for all in the Parish. If you would like to discuss personal matters and needs then please contact the Vicar as below and he, or one of our qualified team of Pastoral Assistants, will make arrangements to talk to you in full confidentiality.
Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals
Weddings and Baptisms are currently suspended. However Funerals can take place under special conditions away from the church building. Bereavements are particularly difficult at the moment. We bring a Christian compassion to these and can discuss with you the appropriate arrangements, not just for a Service, but also pastoral support. Please contact the Vicar to discuss how we can be alongside you
St Paul’s is an open, supportive community of people discovering and living out the Christian faith together with a vision of :-
Sharing God’s love, revealed in Jesus Christ.
