Foodbanks & Mission of the Month
St Paul's collects for local foodbanks, either Living Well (Holy Trinity, Lennard Rd) or Christians Against Poverty (Penge). All donations of non-perishable items such as tins and long-life milk are very gratefully received. If this is something you would like to support, contributions can be brought to church weekday mornings 9.30 am to 10.00 am; left at the office Monday to Thursday 9.30 am to 1.00 pm; and before/after any of our Sunday services (10.30 am and 5.00pm).
St Paul's Mission Support
St Paul's support six mission organisation during the years to whom we give a part of our normal giving and to which additional donations are made. They are a subject for our prayer support and we try to build a special relationship with parts of their work and the people involved.
In January and February we are concentrating on the 'Church Mission Society'. Formed in the 18th century to spread the Gospel of Christ throughout the world, to fight for abolition of the slave trade and stand up for the rights of the oppressed. The Society still concentrates on these objectives updated to serve the issues of the modern world. We are mission partners of Ben and Katy Ray, who work for Neema Crafts based in Tanzania. Please pray for them at this difficult time, as they seek government approval to expand their work into other areas. There is a display at the back of church with more information.
