RESPONDING TO THE FINANCIAL CHALLENGE OF COVID-19
We are doing everything we can to support our congregation and community during this crisis, including new online services and St Paul’s Connect, the community buddy system.
Thank you for your continued financial support, which has allowed us to adapt to these unprecedented times. You have enabled us to share the hope of the Christian faith in a time of uncertainty.
But Covid-19 has raised financial challenges for our church:
As we cease meeting for gathered worship, we are no longer able to receive plate and envelope offerings.
We are currently unable to hire out our church hall.
Key church fundraisers, such as Community Choir concerts, are no longer permitted to take place.
Although the church building is closed, it still costs £13,300 per month to keep the church running. While our normal patterns of worship have stopped, our costs have not. Our main costs are:
