When Jesus Came to Tea

Our final Families Together session tells the story of Zacchaeus and how Jesus cam to his house for tea.

There are  lots of activities for you download or make.

Just follow these steps for a fun Families Together.

For the activities about Zacchaeus you will need:

• cardboard or thick paper

• A4 paper to print downloads

• scissors

• colouring pens/pencils

• glue stick

• Biscuits

• Icing and decorative sugar shapes

Step 1 - Watch the 'Welcome' Families Together Video (Part 1) and download the first colouring activity sheets opposite to make this picture of Jesus at Zacchaeus's house for tea

Colour in the letters and pictures and then cut down the middle dotted line

Colour in Jesus and Zacchaeus having tea and then stick the two halves of the first sheet on the edges to make a book - see the video

Step 2 - Watch the 'Story Time' Families Together Video (Part 2)

Step 3 - Watch the 'Making Things' Families Together Video (Part 3) to make Zacchaeus in a tree, special decorated biscuits for Jesus at tea and also download the three activity sheets

Step 4 - Watch the 'And Finally' Families Together Video (Part 4) to sing the song, take part in the Families Together prayer and have Rev Simon say Goodbye

This is our last monthly Families Together after over six years of fun, games, activities, stories, music, prayers and teas together. We have had some great times and we hope they will continue as you join our weekly Family Service on a Sunday which is very similar. It will also be online for those who cannot join us then.
